Imagine a world where the values of our elected officials are aligned with our values. In New York, we have nearly 200 members of Local Progress, a network for local progressive elected officials that work with community, advocacy, and labor groups to achieve transformative change locally and at the state level. This workshop will explore how community and labor groups and members of the public can build power and achieve progressive change by leveraging our relationships with the people we have elected, and their staff while continuing to build a powerful citizen voice.
